Hello Sherri's Family:

I remember when Sherrie was born, because my daughter Melody was also born in July.  We were also neighbors; she and her family upstairs and my family downstairs.  My family left Albion, but I was at her graduation and gave her a hug.  I was sorry to hear of her passng, but my daughters also remember her. God will take care of her family.

Story shared: Sunday's http://baxterfuneral.frontrunnerpro.com/runtime/92991/runtime.php?SiteId=92991&NavigatorId=663690&ItemId=2484897&op=tributeFamilyStories&viewOpt=dpaneOnly&gid=story6562988 Every Sunday we would talk to one another, we would talk about childhood memories, what we cooked for dinner and what has change in the last week.  Believe it or not some weeks there was big changes and other’s there was no big change but, we found a way to talk about something. . .anything.  I remember the times I would call you up for recipe advice “should I add an egg to my dressing” I asked we fussed an laughed about that for a least thirty minutes because I kept telling you I was making dressing not macaroni and cheese.  I remember the times when you would call me up and I wasn’t feeling to well and you would say “tell me how you’re feeling” and after I would tell you my symptoms you would say “I got a pill for dat” but, after speaking to you I never needed that pill because I always felt better.  I remember the times you would call me up for me to listen and give you feed back about a story you were going to submit for school.  You would say “ok, what should I change” and I would be silent from the awe of listening to the story.  I never thought there was anything that you needed to change but, you wouldn’t let me off that easy you would say “tell me something” and I would say “read it again and I promise I will tell you something to change”.  The stories were always great and after reading the second time there was still no changes that were needed.  I used to get so excited to talk to you and I knew the conversations were going to be good when you would say “ggguuuurrrrlll”.  You had a way of talking to me that made it seem like you were not gossiping but, clearing you were gossiping and then you would say “I ain’t one to gossip so you ain’t heard it from me”.  Once you reminded me how mama used to make you take me to the library.  You said you hated that and I want to thank you for doing something for me that you hated.  Thank you for being so selfless.  Thank you for taking me to watch fireworks, thank you for bike riding with me, thank you for sacrificing to come and visit me.  Terrie said you were/are the best sister ever and I agree with that forever and always.  One of the last things you did for me was you sent me a card, you told me the card was sent to cover my last birthday, Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s, Mother’s Day and all the holiDAYs that fell in between until my next birthday because that would be the time you would need to get around to remembering to send me another card.  Well, thank you for the forever card that you left me with and I will cherish it for the rest of my days.  Love is not a strong enough word to express how I feel for you but I am grateful for you.  Until we see each other again be in peace big sis Lynn . .
