Obituary for Beatrice Carson

Beatrice (Williams) Carson went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 24, 2019, at home with her loving family at her bedside. Bea was born May 11, 1931, to Rev. Richmond and Lorean (Fletcher) Williams in Cottonton, Alabama.

Beatrice accepted Christ at an early age. She had been a faithful member of First Salem for 80+ years. Her Christian involvement went beyond in the church. Bea was also a member of The International Masons and Order of Eastern Star Inc.

Beatrice attended Battle Creek Public Schools. She worked at a nursing home in Fort Custer, MI and was a bus driver for BCPS. Bea retired from Kellogg Company after 21 years. She later in life opened a Hair Beauty Supply Store with her son, Eugene Carson.
Beatrice enjoyed bowling and traveling. Bea found much peace in her garden, where she would grow delicious vegetables and the most beautiful flowers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family & friends. Beatrice lived a happy, fulfilling life, always telling stories of her early life and giving out words of wisdom and advice.

Beatrice married Otis Carson in 1949. And to this union, six children were born.
Beatrice is survived by two sons, Donald Carson of Kalamazoo, MI, David Carson of Las Vegas, NE, and only daughter Diane Lane of Battle Creek, MI, 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Otis Michael, Randy, and Eugene Carson; brothers Roosevelt, Calvin, and Richmond Williams; sisters Annie Bell Gibson, Idella Carson, and Bonnie Mae Broadnax.
